ADMINISTRATIVE PROGRAM ASSISTANT II

The University of Lethbridge invites applications for the position of a full-time continuing Administrative Program Assistant II (Coordinator, International Programs & Exchange) working within the International Centre for Students.

The International Centre for Students has as its primary function to coordinate and execute internationalization activities at the University of Lethbridge. This includes the recruitment and retention of international students, the administration of English language programs, international exchange programs, and internationalization events/activities across campus.

Reporting to the Manager of the International Centre for Students and providing key assistance to the Manager of Language Services, the incumbent is responsible for the administration surrounding incoming and outgoing exchange students, the coordination of summer student and faculty exchange, assistance with international partnership agreements, liaison with international partner universities/organizations, and the coordination of other study abroad opportunities for students. The successful candidate will work closely with the Assistant Manager, Language Services and with instructors to assist with the execution of incoming summer language programs and will also play a key role in organizing international events on campus and work closely with the other staff members to provide assistance with website content, promotion of Centre activities, and office administration duties as required.

HIRING SALARY RANGE:$4,156.00 - $4,645.00 per month.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree with excellent organizational/time-management skills accompanied by exceptional communication skills and an attention to detail. Knowledge of a second language would be considered an asset. Experience that demonstrates four or more of the following is preferable: 1) Event/program planning; 2) Group leadership and/or teaching; 3) Marketing/promotion preferably with writing experience; 4) Working with cross-cultural groups and/or international travel; 5) Customer service experience and/or office administration in a busy environment.
