The Department of University Advancement at the University of Lethbridge requires the services of a full-time continuing Marketing Specialist to commence work as soon as possible.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Marketing Specialist will provide marketing communications support for the Department of University Advancement. He/she is responsible for the conception, development, and implementation of marketing communications strategies as guided by the Integrated Marketing Communications Planning Committee and the Director of Marketing and Communications. Responsibilities include managing advertising placement for the University, providing marketing communications support for Web, social media, and emerging technologies, and providing marketing communications planning support for promotions and special events.
The ideal candidate will have a University degree in a related field and at least 5 years prior related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will need a solid understanding of marketing communications strategies for print, web and emerging technologies. In addition, the candidate will be working as part of a team that is responsible for the oversight of the Integrated Marketing and Communications plan for the University of Lethbridge, so the ability to collaborate and work effectively as a member of a team is essential.
