FIRST AID COORDINATOR/RN
(TERM POSITION)

Interested in first aid in a post secondary setting? If yes, then the University of Lethbridge's Health Centre has an exciting opportunity for you.


We provide quality health services to the University community including clinic services, pro-active health education, first aid coordination, communicable disease management and assistance to students regarding provincial health insurance.


We invite applications for a full-time First Aid Coordinator/RN to work within the University of Lethbridge Health Centre. Currently a term position from early September 2012 to April 30, 2013, we may be posting a full-time continuing position for fall of 2013.


Reporting to the Manager, Health Centre, the primary duties and responsibilities will be developing and coordinating first aid response on the university campus and providing key immediate care and nursing/primary care. The First Aid Coordinator/RN will work closely with the Manager, Health Centre to ensure best practices in first aid, health care and education to the University community.


The successful candidate will be a RN with a Bachelor of Nursing degree. Nursing experience in a variety of settings is a definite asset. A first aid background is essential, the ability to teach first aid considered a strong asset, and an active Advanced First Aid certificate is preferred. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated competency in program development, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to sustain positive relationships with both students, academic and administrative units.
