The Max Bell Regional Aquatic Centre requires the services of a Full-time Head Lifeguard to commence work as soon as possible.
The duties and responsibilities include staff supervision, coordination and instruction of programs, supervision and attendance at special events, implementation of routine maintenance and operations and schedules. Other duties include ensuring high standards of safety, lifeguarding and first aid skills plus other duties as required.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $4,052.00 - $4,529.00 per month.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will have a High School diploma and valid certificates in National Lifeguard Service Award - pool option, Swim for Life Instructor and Lifesaving Instructor, CPR Basic Rescuer and AED (current within 1 year). The incumbent should possess the ability to perform manual tasks requiring physical exertion, and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students, the University community and the general public. Experience in staff supervision and scheduling is essential.
Preference will be given to those candidates possessing at least one of the following awards: N.L.S. Course Conductor; First Aid/C.P.R/ AED Instructor; Lifesaving Instructor Trainer; Pool Operator Level II and previous training/knowledge in computer software.
