One 2 Year Term Position)

The University of Lethbridge requires the services of two qualified Programmer Analyst III positions (one continuing and one 2 year term) to commence work as soon as possible. They will be part of a team primarily responsible for the development and ongoing evolution of various enterprise class systems. As the University moves toward an expansion of its corporate platforms and capabilities, these positions are a critical component to the success of several high profile initiatives.

Under the direction of the Manager, Enterprise Systems, these positions will also work very closely with the Principal Software Developer within the same area. The ideal candidates will have a blend of technical skills in web application, web services and portal development with a strong emphasis on Java programming, as well as proven capabilities and experience in customer engagement and requirements gathering processes.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $4,686.00 - $5,304.50 per month.


Along with strong analytical and planning skills, the successful candidates will possess a technical Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 3 years work experience or a Diploma and 5 years work experience. Experience with integrating, developing and supporting business/educational applications will be a tremendous asset in assisting with the ongoing expansion, development and support of our enterprise platforms. Preference will be given to those candidates who possess proven skills in Java or another Object Oriented Programming language. Web portal and portlet development is desirable, as is knowledge, capabilities and/or experience in business and technical analysis.

The individuals must possess strong leadership, organizational, written and oral communication, business and technical analysis skills and must be self starters and able to work with minimal supervision. The ability to build strong working relationships with faculty and staff is an asset.
