The Information Technology Department at the University of Lethbridge is seeking applications for two Business Systems Analyst positions (one continuing and one three year term), who will report to the Enterprise Systems Manager. These positions will support several high profile projects that will result in the expansion of the core enterprise class systems and will commence work as soon as possible.

The Business Systems Analysts will be responsible for determining and communicating business requirements to the technical team to support decision-making to either acquire software or build the system. You will work closely with the Senior Business Systems Analyst and Enterprise Systems Manager, business unit users, technical resources, and other staff to define the requirements of, and support for the development and delivery of both technical and process-based solutions. A key assignment for this position is the development of a framework to construct requirements documents using established concepts and practices of business analysis.

The successful candidates will have a post secondary degree in Computer Science, MIS or Business and at least 4 years of progressive IT experience with a strong business background and technical ability, and proven experience is Business Analysis. The ideal candidate should have Project Management training and/or certification, as well as experience working on projects related to software development, implementation and integration.

The individuals must possess strong leadership, organizational, written and oral communication skills and must be self starters and able to work with minimal supervision. You will play a significant role in the development of innovative business and technology solutions that align with the University’s strategies and priorities.
