The Curriculum Re-Development Centre (CRDC) at the University of Lethbridge requires the services of a qualified Full-time Teaching Development Facilitator to commence as soon as possible.

Reporting directly to the Director of the CRDC, the successful candidate will provide leadership, coordination, facilitation and support for the University of Lethbridge Teaching Development and Educational Technology Initiatives. Duties will include: assisting with the planning and development of pedagogical strategies; providing pedagogical and educational technology support for U of L faculty; assisting faculty with the use of Moodle and other online teaching tools; developing, organizing, and conducting faculty workshops to enhance teaching effectiveness; supporting the integration of resources for teaching and learning; creating and facilitating communities of practice focused on teaching and learning; coordinating and conducting educational research; coordinating work flow and determining deadlines for projects in coordination with faculty and staff.

The successful candidate will have a Master of Education with a minimum of 5 years in adult professional development or related work experience, preferably including the use of technology to support professional development. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast past academic environment is required. Knowledge and understanding of pedagogical theory and community of practice theory, experience teaching with technology at the post-secondary level, and familiarity with educational research is an asset. Experience with Moodle, Blackboard, or other Learning Management Systems is required. The ability to work flexibly and independently within a team structure while maintaining close working relationships with faculty and staff is required.
