SECURITY REPRESENTATIVE
The Security Services department at the University of Lethbridge requires the services of a security professional to commence work as soon as possible.
The duties and responsibilities include routine patrol and investigative work ensuring the security of buildings and property, the control of traffic and parking, and the guidance of students and visitors. The work is performed on a rotating shift.
HIRING SALARY RANGE:$3,497.00 - $3,890.50 per month (F.T.E.)
Shift premium if applicable.
HOURS OF WORK: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week. (F.T.E.)
Rotating shifts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will possess a two-year college diploma (Criminal Justice preferred) with some prior experience in the law enforcement or security field. Equivalent training and experience will be considered. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Alberta Security Services and Investigators Act, a valid First Aid Certificate, and a valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license are considered essential assets. Computer literacy within a Windows environment is highly desirable. Knowledge of fire prevention methods and procedures would be an asset.
In addition, the successful candidate must provide the Manager, Security Services with the results of a criminal record check and drivers abstract prior to employment.
Only candidates in possession of a Security Services Operator License in accordance with the Alberta Security Services and Investigators Act will be considered.
