The University of Lethbridge, School of Graduate Studies invites applications for a full-time, continuing AUPE Program Specialist I position to commence work as soon as possible.
Reporting to the Manager, School of Graduate Studies the major duties for the employee will be to respond to queries related to University of Lethbridge graduate programs from potential applicants; advise applicants and faculty supervisors about admission standards and the application process; monitor, assemble and vet application files for various groups; coordinate services for post admission applicants; monitor and update all SGS social media, websites and newsletters; serve as the SGS resource for a number of Program Committees; as needed, represent the SGS at various professional events; as needed, facilitate or coordinate a response to the communication needs of individual departments, program areas and other units; provide support for SGS events; and perform additional related duties as required. The employee will be required to build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders and internal staff members. At all times the successful candidate will act as an ambassador for the University of Lethbridge. From time to time, this position will be required to work evenings and weekends.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $4,153.00 - $4,703.00 per month.
Applicants must have an undergraduate degree with 2-5 years of experience in a university environment. To function effectively, the successful candidate will need to be familiar with the distinctive graduate programs offered at the University of Lethbridge and possess strong communication, organization and time-management skills. In addition, the successful applicant will have excellent public speaking and presentation skills. The successful candidate must have a valid Canadian driver’s license.
