COORDINATOR, STUDENT COMMUNICATIONS
The University of Lethbridge is seeking a talented and experienced individual to fill the position of Coordinator, Student Communications. This position will work closely with the campus community to leverage all the various departments responsible for marketing and communications to students.
This position will be responsible for the development of all marketing and communications material to promote the University of Lethbridge to prospective students, parents and counselors. Working closely with colleagues in the Registrar’s Office and Student Services, IT-Web unit and Communications departments, the Coordinator will develop advertising, online communications, website content, presentation materials, and any other communication media relating to communication with prospective students and, at times, current students. S/he will manage the content for the student recruitment portal, DISCOVER.ulethbridge.ca. The Coordinator will also be expected to participate regularly in recruitment activities.
In addition, the successful candidate must be prepared to work the occasional evenings and weekends. At all times the successful candidate will act as an ambassador for the University of Lethbridge.
Applicants must have an undergraduate degree plus three to five years related experience, preferably in a university setting. The incumbent must have demonstrated experience with marketing and communications strategies and possess strong communication, organization and time-management skills. To function effectively, the successful candidate will need to be familiar with the distinctive programs offered at the University of Lethbridge and within the secondary and post-secondary educational systems in Alberta. In addition, the successful applicant will possess excellent public speaking and presentation skills. The successful candidate must have a valid Canadian driver’s license.
