The Department of Ancillary Services at the University of Lethbridge requires the services of a qualified Systems Support Specialist I. This is a full-time, project position beginning immediately and ending approximately March 31, 2013.
As part of the Ancillary Services IT support team, the position will be responsible for supporting all the technology utilized by Housing Services, Conference and Event Services, Printing Services, Catering and Food Services and the University Bookstore. This position requires an understanding of computer equipment, peripherals, operating systems and networks, as well as good trouble shooting skills. To be successful in this position the candidate must be friendly, positive, calm and have tremendous interpersonal skills in stressful situations.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $3,497 - 3,890.50 monthly
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and Wireless networks
- Proficient in Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7 and Macintosh operating systems
- Skillful with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Familiarity with internet applications
- Experience working in a team-oriented environment
The ideal candidate will be proficient in both Windows and Mac environments, with thorough knowledge of Windows XP, Vista and 7, and Mac OS X operating systems. The ability to maintain effective working relationships with the University community and the general public is essential.
