Position: Cheer Coach and/or Recreational Gymnastics Coaches
Semester: Summer 2012
Duration: 4 months
Description: West Wind Cheer Force Elite. We are now hiring Cheer Coaches for our Summer & Fall Programs. Could combine hours with other gymnastics to make a full time position.
ABOUT US:
Our goal is to enhance self-esteem, build self-confidence, foster positive socialization and promote physical fitness. Our students learn the skills necessary to enjoy a lifetime of participation in their favourite activity.
Though we provide lesson plans, Coaches are encouraged to use their experience to create fun-filled and engaging lessons for their students. Our sports and recreation programs are held in various community facilities throughout southern Alberta. Students are placed in co-ed classes according to age and skill level.
Our Cheer Program teaches cheers, chants, arm motions, jumps, dance steps and voice projection. Coaches create a fun competition routine that their students perform for parents & friends at our Cheer Competition!
Skill Requirement:
•USASF Certified - ACA Level 1, 2, 3, 4, and/or 5 Certified
•Tumbling Experience - Min. NCCP Level 2 - Alberta Gymnastics
Federation
•Min. 3 years cheerleading or dance experience
•Background & Criminal Checks
ATTRIBUTES:
•Leadership and the ability to deal with athletes & parents
•Positive Attitude - on and off the competition floor
•Enthusiasm - Motivator
•Dedication & Punctuality is a must
Wages $18.00 to $55.00/per hour - based on experience.

Participants must also be prepared to register this for course credit through the Applied Studies program. Applied Studies applicants must work a minimum of 10 hrs/week (130 hours) for 13 weeks and have a minimum GPA of 2.00.
