PAYROLL SPECIALIST
The Human Resources Department of the University of Lethbridge requires the services of a full-time Payroll Specialist to commence work as soon as possible. This position is exempt from the AUPE bargaining unit.
Utilizing their previous experience, the incumbent will be responsible for processing a portion of the payroll through an HRIS system, handle inquiries related to their payroll, balance and remit monthly accounts, and other work related to payroll.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $3,998.53 - $4,442.63 per month.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will have as a minimum Level 1 Canadian Payroll Association certification and 3–4 years of related payroll experience. Skills necessary for success in this position include strong computer skills including word processing/spreadsheet/database programs along with the ability to organize workloads, adapt to change, and meet deadlines. A two-year College Business Administration Diploma, experience working in a unionized environment and knowledge of the ellucian Banner system would be an asset.
The incumbent will also have strong communication skills both verbally and written along with good organizational and team work skills and be able to work independently. The ability to maintain effective working relationships with members of the University community is essential.
