Position: Hearts and Art Coordinator
Semester: Summer 2012 / Fall 2012
Duration: 4 months
Description: This opportunity can be used for a Summer 2012 or Fall 2012 Applied Studies course. Contact local artists and invite them to participate in event, prepare a program with artists bios, plan the Hearts and Art event including decorations, ticket sales, and entertainment.
Skill Requirements:
•Interest in Art,
•Contacts with local artists,
•Knowledge of different artistic mediums,
•Comfortable speaking to groups about the project.
How to Apply: email resume to dherrick@alzheimer.ab.ca prior to prior to April 15 for summer semester and September 1 for fall semester. The Application Process includes: 3 references, criminal records check, interview and volunteer application form.
Participants must also be prepared to register this for course credit through the Applied Studies program. Applied Studies applicants must work a minimum of 10 hrs/week (130 hours) for 13 weeks and have a minimum GPA of 2.00.
Applied Studies placements can be paid or volunteer work, depending on the employer. This is a volunteer opportunity.
