The University Library invites applications for a Library Intern position. This is a full-time term Administrative Professional Officer position, beginning September 1, 2009 ending on approximately April 30, 2010.
Reporting to the Associate University Librarian, the Library Internís specific responsibilities will include providing reference assistance to students, faculty, staff and the general public; a variety of off desk projects; support for sections of writing 1000; library tours as assigned, and other duties as assigned by the University Librarian.
Applicants must have completed a minimum of one year of a Masters degree in Library or Information Science. Experience includes working on a reference desk, preferably in an academic library. Library work experience gained through working in libraries part time or through participating in a co-op program while taking the degree is required.
