Humans vs. Zombies IV (HvZ) is a five day campus-wide game hosted by the University of Lethbridge Students' Union. HvZ is an annual tradition on campus and the event has become a recognized phenomenon by campuses across Canada.
Every game begins with all participants as Humans, except for one randomly chosen "Patient Zero". "Patient Zero" is the first zombie who begins to spread the infection across campus. It is up to the human participants to prevent the spread of the 'Zombie Outbreak', while trying to avoid becoming infected themselves. The infection spreads once a human is tagged by a zombie; as a result that human becomes a zombie as well. Watch the zombie outbreak spread throughout the week!
The event is designed to provide students with an exciting on-campus game to help alleviate some of the mid-semester academic and social pressures and provide students an avenue to strengthen social bonds outside of the classroom setting.
Registration for this year's game will occur Tuesday, October 23rd at 10:00am and will close Monday, October 29th at 5:00pm or until we have hit our maximum amount of 300 participants.
The game will begin Monday, October 29th at 5:00pm and will continue throughout the week until Friday, November 2nd at 3:00pm on the University of Lethbridge campus.
