Fire Alarm Testing Thursday, Nov. 1
Fire Alarm Testing Thursday, Nov. 1

October 29, 2012

With recent renovations and additions to major buildings on the upper campus, the University is required to verify that the connecting alarm systems as a whole are in proper working order.

Unfortunately this is a noisy task. Fire alarm bells and strobe lights must be active for at least 30 uninterrupted minutes.

In order to minimize disruption to the campus community, this event has been scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 1 at 11 p.m. The testing will take place in the Centre for Sport and Wellness, the PE Building, Turcotte Hall and the Max Bell Regional Aquatic Centre.

The verification team will be on site at approximately 10 p.m. to prepare. Testing will begin at 11 p.m. sharp lasting approximately 30 - 45 minutes.
