The Steps for Life Walking for Families of Workplace Tragedy is a fun 5km fundraising walk to help support families affected by workplace tragedy.

Created in 2004, it raises funds to support Threads of Life programs and services for families who’ve suffered from a workplace fatality, life-altering injury or occupational disease.

It also raises awareness about the importance of health and safety within workplaces and to the public. It’s a unique way to educate your community about the devastating ripple effects of a workplace tragedy and how we can work together to prevent others from being injured or killed on the job.

The U of L has had a team in the walk since 2009, and this year thte U of L Luxy Loafers would like to have a really big presence at the walk to honour and remember Curtis Dodd, who was fatally injured at the U of L residence construction site last fall.

Register at wellness@uleth.ca or call Suzanne 5217, Anne 7176 or Dan 2190 for more information.

Steps for Life team will be at PE 2nd level on March 26 from 11:30 – 2:00 for those who have more questions or would like to join the team. Students, staff, faculty and friends and family all welcome!
