The Faculty of Management at the University of Lethbridge, Calgary Campus invites applications for a full-time Administrative Program Assistant I. This is a one year temporary position to cover a maternity leave with an expected start date of February 19, 2007.
The successful applicant will be responsible for front desk reception, processing student loan applications, textbook ordering, classroom bookings and other general office duties. The Administrative Program Assistant I provides front end assistance to current and prospective students during peak registration periods, and responds to specific student inquiries. A key responsibility will be to assist with increasing the profile of the U of L Calgary Campus by promoting the Bachelor of Management program, planning Calgary Campus events, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of marketing strategies for recruiting students.
HOURS OF WORK: Monday – Friday
Alternating 8:30 – 4:30 and 10:00 – 6:00.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $3,005.00 - $3,516.00 per month.
The successful candidate preferably will possess a two year college diploma and three to four years of related work experience. Preference will be given to candidates with event planning experience, strong writing skills, as well as demonstrated organizational and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and database queries is required.
Familiarity with the University of Lethbridge programs and policies as well as experience in a post-secondary environment is an asset. The ability to maintain effective working relationships with members of the University community and the general public is essential.
