The Department of Information Technology at the University of Lethbridge requires the services of a qualified Systems Support Specialist II to commence work as soon as possible.

Reporting to the Client Services Area, this position will be an integral part of the classroom and Help Desk Support Team responsible for supporting classroom equipment including Windows and Macintosh computers and audio/visual equipment such as data projectors, VHS and DVD players and sound reinforcement. The successful candidate must also provide training to faculty on the use of this equipment, have excellent telephone trouble shooting skills, and be able to quickly respond to service calls and immediately diagnose and resolve issues. This position requires a broad knowledge of computer equipment and peripherals, operating systems networks, and audio/visual equipment, as well as excellent trouble shooting skills. To be successful in this position the successful candidate must be friendly, positive, calm and have excellent interpersonal skills in stressful situations.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $3,083.00 - $3,606.00 per month.


The ideal candidate will have a University degree in Management (M.I.S.) or Computing Science with 1 to 3 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ability to maintain effective working relationships with the University community and the general public is essential.
