SYSTEMS SUPPORT SPECIALIST II
The Department of Information Technology at the University of Lethbridge requires the services of a qualified Systems Support Specialist II to commence work as soon as possible.
As part of the Desktop Support team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the administration and support of faculty and staff desktop computers, hardware and software trouble shooting, supporting printers and to assist and train users with centrally supported software products. This position will require the successful candidate to have a broad knowledge of computer equipment and peripherals, operating systems, networks, installing and trouble shooting skills.
Requirements:
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and Wireless networks
• Proficient in Windows 98/2000/XP and Macintosh operating systems
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
• Working knowledge of laptop hardware
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Familiarity with internet applications
• Experience working in a team-oriented environment
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $3,083.00 - $3,606.00 per month.
HOURS OF WORK: Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will have a University degree in Management (M.I.S.) or Computing Science with 1½ to 3 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ability to maintain effective working relationships with the University community and the general public is essential.
