The successful candidate will be a current student in the Department of New Media and will have competencies in compositing and special effects production. Applicants will have completed NMED 3030 (3D Modeling and Animation) and NMED 3620 and must demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. Advanced ability with the following software applications would be a considerable asset: 3DS Max 8 or 9, Combustion 4, Premiere Pro 2, Photoshop CS2. Preference will be given to students who have completed NMED 2030: Film 1
The selected individual will be required to help facilitate laboratory sessions during the time of the class (Mondays from 2 – 4:50 pm and Wednesdays from 2 – 3:50 pm), as well as conduct weekly Friday drop-in tutorial sessions. The duration of this position is 7 hours/week for 11 weeks, and compensation is at the rate of $10/hour.
