'Big Rock' Female Athlete of the Week:
Kira Lawrence- Women's Soccer
The Women's Soccer team faced the defending CIS Champion UBC Thunderbirds this past Sunday. While the Horns dropped a 2-0 decision, Kira played a spirited game that saw her have many good scoring chances. With the Horns down 2-0, Lawrence came very close to cutting UBC's lead in half, as she rocketed a shot from just outside the 18-yard box that eluded the Thunderbird keeper but struck the crossbar.
