Alberta Smithsonian Internship Program

  • The Ministry provides $6,000 per student for students to undertake summer long internships at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C., USA.

  • Students work alongside scholars, scientists, and experts in science, history and culture at one of the Smithsonian Institute's 25 museums and research facilities.

  • Assist with research and help produce world-class programs and exhibits
  • Internships available in D.C. and at other Smithsonian sites around the world

Available to full-time registered students who have completed at least two semesters of, as well as be currently registered in and attending, a full-time equivalent in a diploma, baccalaureate, master's or doctoral program. Students who have recently graduated (within one year) are also eligible to apply.
