Types of Appointments

  • Service Consultation - 15 min. appointment to assess your personal needs and inform you of the numerous services and supports both on campus and our community. All new clients are required to attend a service consultation before accessing other services in our department.
  • Personal Counselling- brief, individual counselling with a mental health professional.
  • Single session counselling- solution-focused therapy to work on a specific concern or issue.
  • Group Counselling
  • Wellness workshops
  • Individual Education Sessions- 50 min., one-on-one sessions to help you build skills and strategies to manage common concerns of university students. These include sessions on:
    • Stress & Management Skills
    • Strategies for Depression
    • Communication & Relationship Skills

Individual Counselling

Our trained professionals (registered psychologists, provisional psychologists, clinical social workers, graduate student interns) offer FREE and confidential counselling to assist with a broad range of personal issues such as:

  • Adjusting to university life
  • Anger management
  • Anxiety and panic
  • Body image/disordered eating
  • Depression
  • Family or relationship issues
  • Grief and loss
  • Identity issues
  • Lack of motivation
  • Life events and transitions
