Open Your Eyes to the World of Remote Sensing.

Imaging science is a rapidly developing field of scientific study. Through constant innovation, researchers are now able to quantify and measure the world around us in ways not previously possible. From the smallest of molecules to the entire Earth, and from the Earth to galaxies billions of light years away, remote sensing has changed the way we look at our universe. If you would like to be a part of this exciting and widely applicable discipline, consider a degree in Remote Sensing.

The Departments of Geography and Physics & Astronomy offer a major in Remote Sensing for the 40-course Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree program. As a Remote Sensing student, you will study Geography, Environmental Science and Physics, as well as other topics focused on the field. You will also learn to record and interpret images using highly-specialized instruments, some of which are unique to the Remote Sensing program at the U of L.
