Location: Crowsnest Pass
Terrestrial laser scanning demo provided by Optech. There will be a trip to the Crowsnest Pass to observe the ILRIS 3D Long range scanner in action. Tentatively, we will survey the Frank Slide and receive information on the slide and monitoring infrastructure from Jamie Warren a Govt Alberta Applied Geosciences Section geological engineer and researcher. The demo is free to attend but space is limited, no refreshments are provided and participants will need to make their own way to meeting point (to be announced).
Check out the AGS monitoring program at Turtle Mountain.
