Shastri Faculty Development Programme for Vocational Education

The Shastri Institute through its facilitation services will provide assistance to MHRD in identification of faculty in India and Canada for mutual benefit. Canada has the tools to provide the necessary know-how and help develop a qualified workforce in countries around the world. This facilitation programme aims to assist the government’s efforts by providing support to identify faculty from Indian institutions providing vocational education to get an exposure to the Canadian community college system. The Shastri Institute will also help Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) to identify Canadian Community Colleges to host identified faculty from India to enrich his knowledge base. Another important component of this facilitation would be to identify an ideal teacher trainer/Resource Person from Canada in the acclaimed areas of vocational education to train Indian faculty to impart advance knowledge and introduce new pedagogy. This will bring-in the international perspective to the training imparted to students at Indian Institutions.
