Bachelor of Fine Arts – New Media

 

Explore, study, and create in a wide range of areas including: graphic design, web design and development, interaction design, 3D modelling and animation, narrative screenwriting, digital video production, visual effects, gaming, theory and history of new media, and more.

You develop the knowledge and skills necessary to become a versatile new media professional, critical thinker, and adaptable individual, able to succeed in a range of new media industry and creative practices.

In your final year you can pursue either an internship or take Advanced Studio, either option provides unique benefits as you conclude your studies and transition into a career or graduate studies. The internship is a structured learning experience that is completed locally, nationally, or abroad where you develop and refine your skills within a professional work setting and gain a greater sense of career possibilities. The Advanced Studio course focuses on creative applications of new media and allows you to undertake a self-directed project in your particular area of interest that provides you with greater depth in your work.

Further customize your degree by earning a minor offered in one of these management areas: First Nations Governance, General Management, International Management, Marketing or Social Responsibility.
