In Spring 2016, uLeth became the first Canadian institution to join 7 Cups of Tea. This program provides on-demand emotional health and well-being service.
Anyone who wants to talk about whatever is on their mind can quickly reach out to a trained, compassionate listener through our network. With our own uLethbridge platform, you can access listeners who know our campus and relate to the specific challenges you may be facing.
"People connect with listeners on 7 Cups for all kinds of reasons, from big existential thoughts to small, day-to-day things that we all experience. Unlike talking to family or friends, a 7 Cups listener doesn’t judge or try to solve problems and say what to do. Our listeners just listen. They understand. They give you the space you need to help you clear your head.'
In partnership with the ULSU we are actively seeking new listeners to join the program. Start the conversation by contacting us or sign up on your own today! firstname.lastname@example.org
If you choose to sign up as a listener, you will receive training online through 7 Cups of Tea on topics like active listening, empathy, and basic counseling skills. These skills will help you personally and professionally, and enhance your contribution to our campus community.
You’re in complete control over your displayed availability, so you can listen as often as you like. There is no required time commitment or schedule and you will also be able to remain anonymous as a listener. The registration process is very simple:
· Complete the active listening course
· Create your listener profile
