Aaron Tamayose, Specialized Support Coord - Accommodated Learning Centre
Aaron is a proud alumnus and current employee; he has had the privilege of being part of the University of Lethbridge community for the past 10 years. Most recently Aaron has begun graduate level studies in Counselling Psychology within the Faculty of Education. Professionally, Aaron takes great pride in his approach with students, faculty and co-workers alike and believes in bringing a fresh perspective along with respect and enthusiasm to everything he does. Aaron has proven to be an engaged member of the university community by contributing time and efforts to a few of the committees on campus including: The People Plan, Moodle Accessibility, Personal Security Committee and Tri-Campus Mental Health Task Force. Aaron has taken part in many professional development opportunities relevant to leadership and communications including: Kevin Cameron’s Risk Assessment Seminar, Disney Leadership Excellence seminar, Creating a Working Alliance, NCCP Coaching Levels, FOIP, Psychology in the Workplace, Mental Health in the Workplace, ADR Managing Workplace Conflict Seminar, Mental Health First Aid and Non-Violent Crisis Prevention and Intervention. Previously a member of the Initial Steps- People Plan committee, Aaron is eager to bridge previous work with fresh concepts generated by the new committee. In his personal time, Aaron enjoys his work with Lethbridge Special Olympics, is an avid football fan, enjoys travelling and cooking, as well as spending time with his Wife, and Chocolate Lab Henry.
