Cooperative Education Program
“My co-op experience working as the Special Events Coordinator with a non-profit organization was very rewarding professionally and personally. It allowed me to gain valuable experience in my area of interest and work with many wonderful people. Having the opportunity to gain relevant work experience will be invaluable to my professional career.”

Overview
Initiated in 1990, the Faculty of Management Cooperative Education and Internship Program was the first of its kind in Alberta.
Cooperative Education is about much more than work experience. It’s a learning delivery method that links classroom instruction with paid, full-time work experience in a student’s field of study while fulfilling the short-term (usually 4 months, 8 months or 12 months) recruiting needs of employers.
The Management Cooperative Education Program is a member of the Canadian Association for Co-operative Education (CAFCE).
