Cooperative Education Program
My co-op experience working as the Special Events Coordinator with a non-profit organization was very rewarding professionally and personally. It allowed me to gain valuable experience in my area of interest and work with many wonderful people. Having the opportunity to gain relevant work experience will be invaluable to my professional career.

Overview
Initiated in 1990, the Faculty of Management Co-operative Education and Internship Program is about much more than work experience. It’s a learning delivery method that links classroom instruction with paid, full-time work experience in a student’s field of study while fulfilling the short-term recruiting needs of employers.
Co-op terms vary from four months to 12 months.
Students
Co-op experience lets you try out your major in a real-world environment, experience various work cultures and determine what suits you best. Would you prefer to work for government, industry or not-for-profit? Do you want to work locally, nationally or globally?
Earn money to pay for your tuition by “sandwiching” a co-op term between semesters. Apply for an existing placement or create your own opportunity.
The Co-op Program helps you access positions and companies to which you might not otherwise gain admittance. These experiences allow you to build your network and prepare you for employment after graduation. It’s a value-added complement to your management degree.
