New Media Minor

A minor in New Media is available as an adjunct to all majors in the following programs:

   • Bachelor of Management degree
   • Post-Diploma Bachelor of Management degree
   • Management Certificate
   • B.Mgt./B.Ed.
   • Post-Diploma B.Mgt./B.Ed.
   • Second degrees in Management

In some cases, achievement of the minor and a chosen major will require a student to take extra courses. For students who complete all the requirements, the minor in New Media will be acknowledged on the official transcript.

Why Complete a New Media Minor?

The objective of this minor is to give Management students a survey of the new media field and introduce them to design fundamentals and principles of new media. Students will also be able to choose courses that add to their knowledge of visual communications, video production, media/advertising, and/or other topical issues.

New Media 2010 - Visual Communications for New Media ¹ New Media 2030 - Video Production and Film Language
New Media 3150 - Seminar in New Media Studies New Media 3250 - Media, Advertising, and Consumer Culture ² New Media 3520 - Net.Art

¹ The corequisite of New Media 2010 will be waived for B.Mgt. students pursuing the minor in New Media.
² New Media 3520 has a prerequisite of New Media 2010 or Art 3060.
