Ajou International Summer School

Suwon, South Korea

Ajou University provides an excellent six-week international summer school program in the city of Suwon, South Korea. Not only can the classes offered be transferred for University of Lethbridge credits, but there are also field trips, language programs, and other special events for students to explore and learn about Korea and its culture during the summer. A three-day field trip to the historical sites of Korea is offered free to all participants prior to the official program start.

Course transfer

U of L course credit will be determined on a case by case basis. A sample of courses:

  • Understanding Korean Economy
  • International Marketing
  • Organizational Behavior
  • The International Tourism System
  • Culture, Science and Technology
  • Modern East Asia in the Pacific Century
  • Korean Language 1 or 2: Beginning or Intermediate
  • Modern Korean History
  • Korean Culture Workshop (mandatory)
Cost of the program is around US$985 (includes housing, meals, and cultural trips). Flight, health insurance, and U of L tuition are additional costs. For the purpose of paying U of L tuition, the Ajou summer exchange is considered a U of L Summer Session I exchange, and interest charges on late tuition will be calculated accordingly.
