Visiting professor Dr. Christian Greiner would like to extend an invitation to a reception and final student presentations for the course, "Innovative Entrepreneurship" on Thursday, December 6, 2012.
The event will take place at the University of Lethbridge Student Union Ballroom B, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
Innovative Entrepreneurship is a unique teaching and learning concept: students jointly develop a product/service idea; design a blueprint; and develop a marketing plan and revenue model. In this way, students learn the main steps in developing a business plan. Students work independently under the mentorship and guidance of the supervising professor. This educational concept originated at the Munich University of Applied Sciences and, through the support of the Burns Endowment Fund, is being applied in classes here at the Faculty of Management.
Five teams of students from the Bachelor of Management program have developed business ideas in the fields of public transit, sport and recreation, and the environment. Students demonstrated a great deal of passion and capability for innovation while working on the aforementioned topics. In all cases, the projects not only focused on technical solutions, but evolved into viable revenue-generating plans.
Student commitment, innovation and teamwork have been extraordinary – don’t miss this opportunity to view their presentations and learn more about the projects through discussion and questions.
