Combined Management and Fine Arts or Health Sciences degrees

Bachelor of Management (General Management)/Bachelor of Fine Arts (New Media)

The combined Management and Fine Arts degree is one of very few degree programs in Canada to blend new media and management. The new combined degree expands options available to undergraduate students, bridges the gap between the fine arts and management disciplines, and prepares graduates to use new media to maximum effect within an organization or provide strong knowledge about how to manage innovation and entrepreneurship.

This new option, with limited seats in Fine Arts, combines new media, film and video production, art, drama and music with organizational behavior, informational technology, accounting, marketing, management policy, and human resources management.

Graduates have a firm foundation for careers that combine interactive technology and management, preparing them to start their own business or become team leaders in the marketplace.

Economic and Marketplace Demand

Demand is increasing for managers who are savvy in digital media and new media artists with expertise in business management. This combined degrees program gives graduates a competitive advantage in the marketplace and opens up unique professional opportunities.

Graduates can find employment as

  • Entrepreneurs
  • New media company managers
  • Project managers
  • Public relations specialists
  • Media and marketing researchers
  • Corporate communications specialists

Students applying for the combined degree will have to meet admission requirements of both the Faculty of Management and the Faculty of Fine Arts.

Admission to the BFA (New Media) degree program has a Portfolio and Questionnaire requirement (see admission requirements link below)

Bachelor of Management(General Management or Human Resources Management and Labour Relations)/Bachelor of Health Sciences (Public Health)

Students applying for the combined degree will have to meet admission requirements of both the Faculty of Management and the Faculty of Health Sciences.
