Student-Managed Investment Fund

Alex Hedges finance student

Real money, real markets, real investments.

Imagine having access to $100,000 real money to invest in commodities markets, using the same tools and technology available to today's investment professionals.

You'll take advantage of this incredible hands-on opportunity when you enrol in Management 4470/4471, and become a member of the team administering the Student-Managed Investment Fund.

The fund has been established so participating students can gain valuable practice managing a real-life investment portfolio. You'll have an opportunity to interact and network with industry experts and other business students interested in finance.

In addition to supervision by the Centre's Academic Director, Dr. Pei Shao, you'll receive guidance on trading activities from an advisory board comprised of external investment professionals, internal faculty members and legal experts.

Trading will be conducted by students enrolled in this course designed specifically for the fund. The course runs for two semesters, at the end of which you'll receive a final grade.
