The Faculty of Management at the University of Lethbridge invites scholars from other institutions/organizations, and successful business men and women, known nationally and internationally, to apply for the Burns Endowment Fund Program.
Two options for appointment are available: Burns Visiting Fellow for a short-term visit and Burns Visiting Chair, normally for a semester-long visit. The successful applicant will be invited as a Burns Visiting Chair/Fellow to the Faculty of Management.
The Burns Visiting Chair/Fellow is provided with a housing allowance and return airfare. The Burns Visiting Chair is also provided with remuneration equivalent to the current pay structure for sessional instructors in the Faculty of Management as compensation for delivering a course for the duration of the semester. Travel and accommodation costs to the Calgary and Edmonton campuses are covered by the Program.
Applicants with a wide range of research/teaching interests are invited to apply. Interested individuals are asked to contact a faculty member in the visitor’s area of expertise to explore teaching and research opportunities. This is an annual fellowship. Enquiries and expressions of interest will be accepted for future periods. The deadline for the Fall 2011 (September – December) academic term is March 1. Subsequent deadlines are September 15 for the Spring semester and March 15 for the Fall semester.
