The Data Liberation Initiative (DLI) is a co-operative effort among the Humanities and Social Science Federation of Canada (HSSFC), the Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL), the Canadian Association of Public Data Users (CAPDU), the Canadian Association of Small University Libraries (CASUL), Statistics Canada and other government departments. The DLI provides Canadian institutions with affordable access to Statistics Canada data files and databases for teaching and research.
NOTE: Some requested data files exist only on CD-ROM - in this case a copy will be ordered, catalogued and placed in the Library's Reserve Collection.
Please consult the Department of Information Technology personnel in computer labs on campus for assistance with the technical aspects of using data files such as copying and converting files, creating and/or working with extraction software, etc. Some faculty members will also be able to assist with statistical and survey methodology.
