Galt Museum & Archives

PURPOSE

The Galt Museum & Archives collects, preserves and makes accessible through research and interpretation, the human history of Lethbridge and southern Alberta. The artifact holdings number over 20,000 objects. The Archives holdings include 300,000 photographic items; 400 linear feet of manuscript material; 20,000 books and publications; 1,500 recordings (audio tapes, films, videotapes, CDs and DVDs), about 3,000 maps and drawings, etc. These collections continue to grow.
