Organization of Economic Co-operation and Development – OECD’s work on tradeis about providing analysis, policy advice and guidance to create better understanding of trade and investment liberalisation and how it can lead to stronger economic growth as well as to greater integration of countries into the world economy. Contains trade statistics, publications and documents, and information about countries.
United Nations: Economic Commission of Africa – ECA's mandate is to promote the economic and social development of its member States, foster intra-regional integration, and promote international cooperation for Africa's development.
Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries– contains market reports, statistical bulletins, and annual reports from OPEC.
World Bank – The World Bank provides financial and technical assistance to developing countries around the world. Their site includes country information, data and research, and other pertinent publications.
The World Bank also has a site dedicated to financial and private sector development, which aims to fill the gap in understanding about successful business environment and financial sector reform, and what makes reform processes successful in developing countries. It contains the Business Planet tool, a map on which you can view data on new business creation around the world.
United Nations Conference on Trade and Development – UNCTAD promotes the development-friendly integration of developing countries into the world economy. Their site contains an Investment Guide Series with information on several developing countries, as well as the World Investment Report, which focuses on trends in foreign direct investment (FDI) worldwide, at the regional and country levels and emerging measures to improve its contribution to development.
International Monetary Fund – The IMF monitors economic and financial development and provides policy advice in countries worldwide. The site contains country information, including data, stats, and other IMF publications.
World Trade Organization – The WTO is the only global international organization dealing with the rules of trade between nations. This site includes statistics, economic research & analysis, and publications of the WTO.
