Women's Studies 4900 Class Displays
Dates
Apr-7-2004 - Apr-30-2004
Description
Carol Williams, professor of Women's Studies 4900, asked if her class could display their projects in the Library cases in the front entrance. We agreed to do this. Their research involved acquiring knowledge about community activism and local advocacy taking place in Lethbridge on behalf of women and girls. Their goal was to comprehend and describe the variety of services provided for women either on the UofL campus or in the City of Lethbridge.
The displays focused on the following services:
- Lethbridge Police Dept. Victim Services
- Lethbridge Immigrant Services
- Womanspace
- The Foodclub
- YWCA's Harbour House
- Native Women's Transition House
- Chinook Health Region
- Sexual Health Services (CHR)
- University of Lethbridge Personal Security Policy
- Campus Women's Centre
