Jasper House - 1846 ------ Jasper House 1872 ------- Jasper House 1983

Early pack trains had to climb hundreds of feet over over the spur of Roche Miette above Disaster Point. The dread of every packer, it taxed man's courage and exacted its toll of horses.

Across the Athabasca River there is a small triangular patch of grass. This was the site of Jasper House (Click on the grass and we will take you there)
