Questions & Answers

How many sketches do you want from a school?

Usually, schools send about 30 or so sketches - some more, some less. To save postage it helps if sketches are batched and sent at the same time.

What grades usually participate?

There is no age or grade restriction. We have had participants from kindergarten to high school with most in the middle and upper elementary.

How do you decide which sketches to use in the presentation book?

So that no one is hurt by being left out we do not judge entries. If more are received than can be used in one book, additional volumes and presentations are developed. It is anticipated there will be enough sketches for five presentation volumes this year. No one that wants to be included is left out as long as we have permission to use the sketch.

Can only Canadian schools participate?

A major objective of this project is to show global connections. We hope schools around the world will participate.

How many sketches can one person submit?

There is no limit but only one sketch from each person will be used.

Do you have to sign your sketch?

No, but it adds a nice touch. I would suggest that you also put your age.

Is it possible to purchase a copy of the presentation book?

Yes, when we send back a form to get parent/guardian permission there will be a form should anyone wish a sketchbook. There is no obligation but sometimes schools or parents like to have a copy.
