| June 28, 2008 — Gabriel Bay, Chukotka, Russia
The morning featured lectures Botany Going North by John Harwood and Bruce Loeffler's Fire and Ice: Climate Change on Planet Earth. After lunch we made a landing on Gabriel Bay. The sun was out which made the tundra flowers happy. Strong winds in the area may be the reason whale bones were found far up from the bay. |
