Printing/Copying Unavailable Friday, August 29
What is this notice about?
A planned outage of the Equitrac and Follow-You printing services will take place while these systems are being upgraded.
When did this happen?
Equitrac and Follow-You printing will be unavailable Friday, August 29 beginning at 8:30 am until the end of day.
Who was affected and how?
This outage will affect anyone in the following categories:
- All users using their Follow-You printing queue to print, scan, or copy to or from any University printer will be affected. These services will not be available during this outage.
- Users who enter their PIN code to release print jobs from their local or departmental printing or multi-function device will be affected. Print jobs cannot be released during this outage.
- Users printing, copying or scanning using public printing devices in the Library, Anderson Hall, UHall, the Calgary campus, or the computer labs will be affected. You will not be able to print to these devices during this outage.
- Users printing using any other network printer might find that their print job is lost by the system during this outage window. If this happens, resubmit your print job after the outage window expires.
Why did this happen? This outage is required to upgrade the Equitrac print queue software to the latest version in preparation for the new semester. This upgrade is planned to coincide with a University semester break and long weekend so as to impact the fewest number of users.
