Starting September 1, 2014, the undergraduate loan period on Main Collection items will change. The 6-weeks loan will remain; however, items can now be recalled after the first 3-weeks.
Why was this done? This brings the undergraduate loan policy into agreement with the Library's Access Policy, which states, "Loans of more than three weeks are subject to recall after the first three weeks."
Provided there is no hold on the item, it can be renewed for two additional 6 week periods. Items are subject to an immediate recall in any renewal period.
The 6-week/no-recall borrowing period for undergraduates will remain on Curriculum Laboratory materials.
