New Circulating Equipment: Four New iPads (a.k.a., the iPad 3)

These iPads (http://www.apple.com/ca/ipad/) are a significant upgrade from the previous versions that were circulated. They are faster, have a better screen, include back and front facing cameras, and more applications.


Two new applications that have been added are: GarageBand (for audio editing) and iMovie (for video editing). For productivity, the iWorks suite (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote) is also included.

The iPads can be borrowed for up to 96-hours by faculty, staff, and students (graduate and undergraduate). At present, they cannot be renewed for a longer period. The iPads are bookable through the catalogue (http://darius.uleth.ca/record=b2165489~S1) and can be retrieved from the General Services Desk in the Library.

Contents of the kit include: iPad (with grey Smart Cover), carrying case, charger, charging/USB cable, HMDI video adapter, VGA video adapter.
