Nikkei Memory Capture Project:

The Nikkei Memory Capture Project’s “Stop the Presses! Japanese-Canadians in 20th century Southern Alberta newspapers” exhibit is now being featured in the University of Lethbridge Library. The exhibit presents articles from Southern Alberta newspapers and reveals how they portrayed Canadian Nikkei (people of Japanese descent) during the 20th century. From the exhibit you will see how the newspapers reflect changing cultural, moral, and social attitudes over time.

The project that can be found on the north side of level 10 in the Library until December 22, 2017. You are invited to explore, reflect, and help to shape the project with your comments. The Library’s hours of operation can be found at http://www.uleth.ca/lib/hours
