Frequently Asked Questions - Microfiche and Microfilm

1. How do I find microfiche/microfilm in the collection?
The majority of the microform (microfilm/microfiche) collection is listed in the Library's online catalogue and can be searched in the same way you would search for a book. Copy down the call number and proceed to Level 11 to locate the fiche or film in the cabinets located on the east end of the floor (by the Prentice Institute).

2. Where are the microfiche/microfilm readers?
The microform (microfilm/microfiche) readers are adjacent to the Woodworth Microform Collection on Level 11.

3. Can I print a page from the microfiche/microfilm readers?

It is not possible to print directly from the readers, but microform pages can be scanned to a PDF file and then saved to a flash drive, emailed or printed to a Follow-You printer.

4. I've never used microfilm/microfiche before. Where can I get help?

Ask for assistance at the Information and Research Assistance desk on Level 10 during opening hours.
